One of the advantages of being a part time tour guide at the Mull of Galloway is that the chances of seeing dolphins are multiplied. A quick grab of the camera with 400mm lens and I was able to capture this image amongst others. The sea is down below the 250ft cliffs so it’s quite a distance to reach any wildlife down there. A telephoto lens is essential if you want to catch any details at that range. I used the largest aperture available to me and the ISO (sensor sensitivity) had to be set high in order to freeze the action.
