I have always loved the sea. I was born by the sea and have lived on more than one scottish island. It is in my blood.

I am particularly attracted to the tideline where water is forever reshaping the landscape. After every tide the beach is forever changed in all kinds of subtle ways.

Like a giant etch a sketch the worlds oceans and seas remove the footprint traces of man and beast and restore them to their timeless natural beauty.

These image collections portray the dynamic and completely unique textures and movements of the sea as it moves across terra firma.

I have coined the phrase “Ocean Timescapes” as they capture textures and patterns over seconds of time.
