The Drummore road near the village was taking an almighty pounding by the sea today. Storm Barra with South Easterly winds as well as a high tide meant the road to the North of Drummore was in the firing line. This video shows the ferocity of the waves as they explode on the sea wall. and the churning boiling sea looks so different to its normal tranquil state. Sadly the “Welcome to Drummore” sign was destroyed by the battering. Several parts of the tarmac on the road were also damaged.
