My great grandfather was from a place called Gedintailor at the Braes a few miles south of Portree. It’s a historical place famous for a civil rebellion during the Highland Clearances that came to be known as The Battle of the Braes
From Braes in the East to Neist Point and Talisker in the West and Sligachan somewhere in the centre there are countless Landscape variations.
