The Aurora Borrealis on the 23rd/24th March was a powerful one. Sadly where I was there was a huge amount of cloud cover and I was unable to capture it in full glory. It got me round to thinking that it must have looked amazing above the clouds with the purples and greens reflecting off the top surface of the clouds. I bet that was a spectacle to behold. Anyways I did capture this image of the tower at Port Logan during a very temporary partial break in the cloud cover. Perhaps it makes the gone 3am bedtime worth it.
