Blaven is a mountain that rises to 3044 feet and is considered to be an outlier of the Cuillin ridge. I always find it to be a place full of atmosphere and is great for landscape shoots. It towers over Loch Slapin like a great wall – You’ll know what I mean if you ever drive to Elgol!
At over 3000 feet high it can be seen from the Scottish mainland easily.
The name Blaven means “Blue Mountain” which it can appear to be with the right weather conditions.
